Workers Compensation

Workers Compensation Insurance is the legal right of every employee, whether engaged in a grass roots nonprofit organization or in the nation’s largest corporations. Workers Compensation Insurance is legally mandated to provide unlimited coverage for injuries or illnesses occurring in the workplace, along with partial or complete disability benefits or death benefits to protect the worker’s rights in the event of catastrophic loss. Conservation United has “appointments” with workers compensation carriers, and is licensed to serve clients nationwide. We work with carriers to provide workers compensation coverage to AmeriCorps members, stipended interns, and laborers or trainees across the spectrum of outdoor activities. Conservation United  specializes in creating opportunities in the private workers compensation insurance market rather than assigned risk for difficult to place exposures such as supporting prescribed burns, fuels reduction/chainsaw use, river rafting/livery, guiding/outdoor leadership, Youthbuild, historic preservation, etc.
