When to Report a Claim? Immediately!

A claim is an insurance policy’s “moment of truth.” When an event happens that causes bodily injury or property damage to a client or guest, you might be fearful that if you report the claim to your insurance carrier, they may increase your rates or even cancel your policy.

Claims handling is our service to you. Reporting claims early:
– Relieves spoliation of evidence claims down the road.
– Helps us protect you! Some incidents, such as those involving minors, may not result in a claim until years later. By then    it may be difficult to defend because evidence is lost and witnesses have disappeared. Reporting early on helps us gather   evidence and witness testimony.
– Avoids a possible denial in coverage. Your policy requires timely reporting of any incident that MAY result in a claim.         Erring on the side of over reporting helps to ensure your coverage is not denied due to the late reporting of an event.

Reporting incidents promptly demonstrates that you are prepared in case any further damages unfold.
